Nine times out of ten



We use this expression to say that something is extremely probable.

Example 1

What do you do at the weekends?
Well, nine times out of 10 we just stay at home and relax.

Example 2

I always try something different when I eat out.
Me too, but my mum doesn't - nine times out of ten she has spaghetti!
